Blogging today at The Chatelaines

I'm blogging today at The Chatelaines about how reading romance changed my life. (Sunday is my blog day, and I've been remiss up until now due to deadlines) Please come join me and post a comment for a chance to win a novel from the chatelaine-of-your-choice.

LOLS In German

LORD OF THE FADING LANDS was translated (very well, or so I'm told) into German and published last year in Germany. LADY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS is in the process of being translated and published in German as well.

And I must say, I like the German cover of LOLS much better than the German LOFL. They totally went with the "fantasy" feel.

According to Amazon.DE, Herrin von Licht und Schatten will be available Nov 28, 2009.

Come See Me at DragonCon!

Come visit me in Atlanta on Labor Day weekend, Sept 4-7, 2009. I'll be attending the fun and fabulous DragonCon, an all out extravaganza that is the single largest science-fiction/fantasy & gaming convention in the world. Last year, with over 46,000 attendees, DragonCon is a convention like no other. Guest/VIP Attendees include movie and TV stars, authors, artists, comic book creators and more.

I'll be exhibiting and selling books in the Marriott Marquis with a number of fellow authors, at booths 1304 and 1306. I will be selling and autographing LORD OF THE FADING LANDS, LADY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS and KING OF SWORD AND SKY. I will also be giving away a chance to win an autographed copy of my upcoming novel, QUEEN OF SONG AND SOULS.

Bring your costumes and your camera, too! One of the coolest parts of DragonCon besides the incredible tracks, all the fab dealer tables, and the nightly live concerts, are the costumes. Some are literally professional-quality costumes. Ewoks, Arwen Evenstar, Legolas, Gandalf, the Disney Princesses, Battle Star Galactica characters, Jedi Knights, Manga girls, Marvel & DC comic heroes, Stormtroopers, Klingons, Romulans, enormous walking trees, you name it. There are costumes that will enthrall you, entertain you, amaze you. Costumes alone are worth the price of admission.

You may even meet Ick the Troll. But watch out. He has a habit of using short people as elbow-rests.

Lions and Tigers and....Killer Unicorns? Oh My!

My dear friend, the multi-published and multi-talented author Diana Peterfreund, has a new Young Adult release coming out August 25, 2009 from Harper Teen. The book, RAMPANT, is about killer unicorns and the virgin descendents of Alexander the Great who hunt them.

I've had the privilege of reading an ARC. (I've been WAITING on this story for YEARS after Diana tantalized me with the opening chapters during a crit session.) If you have teens - or if you just want to read a wonderful, imaginative book - pre-order your copy of RAMPANT today!

And to kick things off, Diana created a fabulous micro-site and one of the most hilarious trailers I've seen in forever! :D Check it out!
